Playing time as a freshman is a tremendous reward for both the
team, as we have found a man who can serve as an immediate
contributor, and the athlete. Earning a starting spot is an
even greater prize, something Jack was able to do despite the
competition from two older goalies. There are many
characteristics that the best goalies possess: quick hands,
great outlets, clear communicators, etc. But the traits that
really separate Jack are his poise in the cage along with his
swagger that emits a tangible confidence. They also promote
confidence from his teammates, who have grown to rely on
Jack. The task does not become any easier this year for Jack
however because the competition for the starting spot still
remains...2013: Named the Ivy League Rookie
