Providence, R.I. - The Brown men's lacrosse coaching staff will host a free clinic for all college, high school and youth lacrosse coaches on Sunday, February 10, starting at 10 am, at the Olney Margolies Athletic Center (OMAC) and Stevenson Field.
The day starts with all coaches meeting at the OMAC Hall of Fame Room. The indoor session starts promptly at 10 am and runs until 11:30 am. Each of the four Brown coaches will present a positional talk for 15 minutes: Kip Turner (Goalie), Tim Harder (Faceoff), Steve Boyle (Dodging) and Lars Tiffany (Defense). For the remaining 30 minutes, the Brown coaching staff will review the practice plan for the day and examine several drills in more detail.
At 11:30 am, the clinic heads outside for the Brown team practice from 11:30 am to 2 pm at Stevenson Field. Each visiting coach will have a copy of the practice plan and are welcome to be on the field, in the midst of the drills. Coaches can come and go as they please.
Everyone will move inside at 2 pm to watch film from the previous day's scrimmage vs. Vermont. The scrimmage, which will be held at 11 am Saturday, February 9th at Brown University, is also free and all are welcome. The Brown staff will cut the film Saturday evening and then present our clips to the team from 2:10 pm - 2:45 pm. All coaches in attendance are invited to watch the clips.
Due to NCAA rules, no refreshments will be served. Parking is free on Sundays and there are several parking lots available behind the OMAC off Lloyd Avenue.
If you plan to attend, please email Brown Assistant Coach Timothy Harder at email@example.com. Coaches can also call 401-863-3780 to speak with Coach Tiffany with any questions.
