How quickly can a freshman make an impact at the collegiate level? Brendan's answer to the question is an emphatic, "Immediately!" Within just a few weeks of his first semester of practice, he was proving he could routinely beat his defender and get to the goal. What made this possible were several factors: 1) Brendan has a decided size advantage on most opposing defensemen; 2) he has a sneaky burst, possessing greater speed than appears at first glance; and 3) he has worked exceedingly hard with both his right and left hands, allowing him to not easily be funneled and directed by the defense. Another area where Brendan is establishing himself as an asset is with his shooting prowess. The power on his shot is impressive both on the run and especially when he is allowed to step into it with room and time…Secondary School Background: A graduate of Chaminade High School where he lettered in lacrosse (2) and football (1)… Lacrosse –First Team All League 2012…Champion All-American…Football –Wide Receiver and Strong Safety… First team All-League…Long Island vs. NYC All Star Game…Academic Honors and Awards - National Honor Society all four years…Personal: the son of George and MaryJean Caputo…Has a sister, Kristin, and a brother, Matthew…Math concentrator at Brown.
