Defending their turf without a thought of fear or self-preservation, the grizzly guard dog preserves the peace unless the wayward traveler or challenger moves in too close.  Acting on instinct and heart, Corbin serves to protect us in whatever role he is asked to play.  As a freshman in 2012, Corbin was the back-up goalie to Will Round, and not once did he show a sign of mental fatigue or dispirit in practice as we rifled shots at him with no abatement of intensity.  Corbin did well in fact, becoming a formidable force in the goal.  Now that the calendar has flipped over to 2013, he can be found at a new spot on the field as a midfielder, his preferred and ideal position.  He still maintains the junkyard dog characteristics, fighting and scrapping during every 1v1 match-up, for every loose ball, for every inch.  One of the stronger men in the program, Corbin is a member of the 900 LB club (combined maximum lifts for bench, squat and hang clean).  But the strongest part of Corbin is his heart.  Corbin is the truest sense a competitor, as he does not know where his off switch is located…2012:  Saw action in five games for the Bears…Played 21 minutes vs. Hartford, making three saves…Also made three saves vs. St. Joseph’s, allowing just one goal…Secondary School Background:  A graduate of Chestnut Hill Academy where he lettered in lacrosse (4), football (3) and Track (3)…  Lacrosse:  2008 -  Coaches Award… 2009 - Most Outstanding Player, Honorable Mention All-Inter Ac…2010 - Most Outstanding Player, 4-year starter, 2-time team captain (2010, 2011).
