Peter Fallon Named Ivy League Player of the Week
Providence, RI - Brown junior All-American defenseman Peter Fallon (Baltimore, Md.) has been named the Ivy League Player of the Week for his role in Brown men's lacrosse victories over eighth-ranked Cornell and Providence College.
Fallon was the difference for the Bears' defense in
Brown's 13-10 Ivy League win over No. 8 Cornell. He held Big Red
attackman Ryan Hurley, the Ivy League's top goal scorer, to
just one goal, that on a loose ball in front of the net. He
also caused two turnovers, picked up three ground balls and was a
key cog in Brown's converting 17-of-19 clear attempts. He also
picked up three ground balls and caused two turnovers against
Providence in a 14-7 victory.
Fallon ranks second on the Brown team in ground balls with 32
for the season. He is a 2009 first team All-Ivy selection,
and USILA All-American.
Fallon and the Brown men's lacrosse team will play its
final regular season Ivy League game on Saturday, May 1, hosting
Dartmouth at Stevenson Field, starting at 1:00 p.m.
