Brown Athletics Partners With Coats for Kids

Nov. 10, 2003

Brown University Athletics has partnered with the Rhode Island Donation Exchange Program (RIDEP) to assist with their annual "Coats for Kids" drive. Anyone who donates a gently used children's coat at the Brown men's hockey home opener on Friday, November 14th will receive a free admission to the game. Each coat collected will be redistributed to children in Rhode Island who lack suitable outerwear. Game time is set for 7:00 PM as the bears play host to Yale at the Meehan Auditorium.

"Brown University Athletics is proud to support RIDEP and their Coats for Kids drive," said Dave Roach, Brown Athletic Director. "We are looking toward a great long-term relationship with them."

The Brown men's ice hockey team defeated Vermont, 3-1 at Vermont's Gutterson Fieldhouse on Saturday, November 8. The win marked the fifth straight over the Catamounts and brought the Bear's overall record to 2-1.
