Hurley Named Second Team All-ECAC Hockey

PROVIDENCE, RI - Brown senior captain Sean Hurley (Rutland, VT) has been named to the 2008 All-ECAC Hockey team in a vote by the 12 ECAC men's hockey coaches. A Second Team selection a year ago, Hurley has been named to the Second Team for the second straight year.

The Bears' top defenseman, Hurley was named First Team All-Ivy for the second straight year earlier this month. A true two-way defenseman, Hurley finished third on the team in scoring with 19 points (3g, 16a), scoring all three of his goals on the power play. He finished the season ranked 12th in the ECAC with 12 assists against League opponents and fifth in scoring among defensemen with 14 points in League games. In 126 career games, third all-time at Brown, Hurley appears in every single career offensive category for defenseman, ranking seventh with 79 career points, seventh with 22 goals, and sixth with 57 assists. His 57 career assists is also 22nd all-time at Brown.
