PROVIDENCE, RI - The Brown Men's Ice Hockey Team (0-3-1, 0-3-1) came out on Friday evening against Princeton (2-2-1, 2-1-0) with high energy in its first home game since October 29th, while peppering the Tigers' goalie with 10 shots in the first seven minutes of the game. However, it was Princeton that would strike first, scoring at 9:06 of the opening frame, and never looking back in a 5-1 win.

The Tigers second line, consisting of junior Dustin Sproat, junior Patrick Neundorfer, and sophomore Grant Goeckner-Zoeller combined for 11 of Princeton's 12 points on the night, including its first four goals of the game. Sproat and Neundorfer traded goals, scoring one each in both the first and second period and senior Luc Paquin added the Tigers' fifth goal of the night at 14:07 of the second as Princeton cruised to the victory.

Senior Scott Rowan (Vernon, BC) made eight saves and allowed four goals in 26:14, before junior Kevin Kliman (Toronto, ONT) relieved him with 13:46 left in the second period. Kliman stopped five shots in the remainder of the second and all 15 shots he faced in the third, in his first appearance in net for Brown.

Kliman finished with 20 saves, and made a great play in Brown's defensive zone that led to the Bears' only goal of the night. With Brown on the power-play, Princeton sent the puck deep into the Bears' zone. Kliman came out of the net to collect the puck and found freshman Sean Hurley (Rutland, VT), who took the puck in alone on the Tigers' Eric Leroux and scored his first career goal at 5:41 of the third.

Still in search of their first win of the season, the Bears will look to rebound tomorrow evening when they host Yale in a 7:00 p.m. contest.
