Sophomore Shane Mudryk (Leduc, ALB), who tallied two assists in Friday's victory, opened the scoring at 9:48 of the first period. His fourth goal of the year, which proved to be the game-winner was scored with a slap shot taken from the top of the left face-off circle. Classmate Brent Robinson (Pointe Claire, QUE) earned an assist on the play, his sixth point in seven games, while freshman Paul Crosty (Edmonton, ALB) tallied his first career point with an assist.

Freshman Les Hagget (Norwood, NY) added an insurance goal at 11:35 of the second period, his second point in as many games. Classmates Chris Swon (Mendham, NJ) and Chris Davidson (Wolfville, NS) each earned assists on the goal. It was Swon's third point in as many games, while Davidson earned his first career point.

The Bears had several other chances throughout the rest of the game, however, the strong goaltending of UConn's Jason Carey kept the Huskies within striking distance.

Close to getting his first career shutout the past two games, Danis and the rest of the Brown team finished the game off, earning the first blanking of the season.

Brown is now 4-0-0 against UConn, and remarkably has shutout the Huskies all four times, outscoring them 26-0.

Now just one game under .500, Brown will look to even its record at 8-8-2 on Tuesday evening when they face Providence in the 16th annual Mayor's Cup.
