A strong and powerful defenseman, Mike Stuart will look to help lead what will be a young defensive corps this season. He is almost two years removed from suffering a torn ACL and should be a big boost to the Brown defensive corps this season, especially on the penalty-kill.

2007-2008: Played in 12 games, missing eight due to injury ... Spent most of the season partnered with Hunter Thunell '10 as Brown's third defensive pairing ... Also partnered with Paul Baier '08, Sean Hurley '08, and David Robertson '08 ... Picked up his first two points of the year with an assist in each game at home against Harvard (W, 4-2) and Dartmouth (W, 4-3), assisting Brown's first goal each night ... One of just two players to finish the season with a positive +/- rating, finishing "+3" for the season ... One of 21 Bears named to the ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team.

2006-2007: Played in 10 of the Bears' first 11 games, starting seven of them ... Suffered a torn ACL in practice prior to the Yale game on December 9th, forcing him to miss the remainder of the season ... Posted the first two points of his career with a goal and an assist in 6-6 tie with Colgate ... Earned an assist in 2-1 victory over PC ... Finished the year with a "+1" rating ... Was a valuable part of the Brown penalty-kill.

2005-2006: Stuart played in 17 contests as a rookie, including all three playoff games in Brown's series at St Lawrence ... Played in his first career game at St Cloud State and appeared in 10 of the next 11 games ... Gained valuable experience on the Bears' penalty-kill.

Before Brown: Stuart split the 2004-2005 season between the U.S. Under-18 team and the Indiana Ice of the USHL ...
