A true workhorse, Sean Dersch has been one of the most consistent performers during all situations over the past three years and will contribute in all areas again this season. He has been a member of the top penalty-kill and the second power-play group in each of the past two seasons. He has played in all 96 games over his career and will look to help lead the Bears again this year.
2005-2006: Dersch was one of three Bears to play in all 32 games last year, finishing the season fourth on the team with 14 points (6g, 8a), including 3-4-7 numbers in ECACHL contests ... Awarded with an "A" at the tail end of the regular-season ... Scored two power-play goals on the year and picked up 26 penalty minutes ... Posted 2-2-4 numbers in the Bears' First Round series at St. Lawrence, including a goal and an assist in the game #2 victory ... Notched two assists in 4-3 win over Clarkson ... 2004-2005: The seventh-leading scorer on the team with 17 points (6g, 11a), including one game-winning goal and one power-play goal, Dersch was one of five Bears to play in all 33 games ... Posted 4-9-13 numbers in ECACHL contests ... Also picked up 22 penalty minutes and was fourth on the team with a "+8" rating ... Scored his first goal of the year, the game-tying goal, in 2-2 tie with Harvard, earning 1st star honors ... Tallied an assist on Ihnacak's power-play goal in the next game at Colgate ...
