Bears Finish 13th At Navy Fall Invitational

Annapolis, MD - In its first tournament of the 2007-2008 season, the Brown men's golf team placed 13th overall with a team score of 310-308--618 in the highly competitive Navy Fall Invitational at the Naval Academy Golf Course.

North Carolina State ran away with the team title with a two-day 566, followed by Navy (589), Delaware (590), Maryland (545), Seton Hall (601), Navy Gold (601), Rutgers (611), George Washington (612), George Washington B (613), St. Francis PA (614), Navy White (615), Brown (618), Navy Gray (627), St. Joseph's PA (631), LaSalle (639) and St. Augustine (684).

Junior Chris Hoffman carded the top individual score for the Bears with a two-day 153 (74-74) to place 35th individually, followed by senior Larry Haertel, who shot 77-77-154, finishing 39th individually.

Senior Ryan Larson's second day 74 was Brown's top score of the day and gave him a two-day 155, while sophomore John Giannuzzi came in at 156 (78, 78). Freshman Michael Amato finished at 177 (83-94).
