Golfers Place 17th At Yale Spring Invitational

New Haven, Conn. - Freshman Larry Haertel shot 72 for Brown on the second day of competition of the Yale Spring Invitational to help the Bears to a 17th place finish overall with a two-day 633 (325-308). Boston College captured the tournament title with a two-day 590.

Haertel's two-over 72, coupled with a first-day 77, placed 13th individually. Brown's second leading scorer was senior James Hahn, who shot 80-78--158 to place 64th individually.

Sophomore Lanny Benson had a solid tournament with a two-day 159 (80-79), while senior Robert Chen posted a two day 168, shooting 88-80. Sophomore Aaron Telch struggled on Saturday, but came back by shooting 79 on Sunday to score for the Bears.
