Bears Place 14th At Towson Invitational

GRASONVILLE, Md. - The Brown men's golf team chopped four shots off their first round score, but finished 14th in the Lacrosse Homes Collegiate Invitational at the par-72 Prospect Bay Country Club with a team score of 632 (318-314). Longwood, the only school in the 19-team field to finish under 600, held off Liberty and UNC Greensboro for the team title with a 598.

First team All-Ivy senior Larry Haertel (77-80) and sophomore John Giannuzzi (79-78) were Brown's team leaders, finishing 43rd overall with a two-day 157. First team All-Ivy junior Conor Malloy and junior Chris Hoffman each shot 78 on the final day of play with Malloy finishing at 158, and Hoffman at 160. Freshman Michael Amato also competed, shooting a two day 173 (82-91).
