Men’s Golf Earns 7th Place Finish At Yale Spring Invitational

New Haven, Conn. -  Competing in one of the strongest fields of season, the Brown men's golf team placed seventh in the 16-team field with a 36-hole 600 on rounds of 297-303 at the par 70 Yale Golf Course.

 

Tennessee captured the team championship by 11 shots with a 36-hole 565 with host Yale coming in second at 576, followed by Virginia )587), Cornell (591), Penn (593), Yale B (594), Brown (600), Bucknell (601), Colgate (603), Fordham (603), Lafayette (605), Central Connecticut (607), Siena (609), St. John's (611), Fairfield (616) and Holy Cross (617).

 

Senior Kevin Li turned in a Top 10 performance with a seventh place finish individually on 72-73—145. Junior Sasha Lobel turned in scores of 71-78—149, while freshman Drew Powell posted rounds of 77-74—151.

 

Bears' sophomore Connor Riley had scores of 77-78 for a two-round 155 and senior Ben Warner finished at 165 after shooting 77-88.

 

Brown concludes its 2018 season next Friday –Sunday, April 20-22, at the Ivy League Championship played at the Stonewall Links in Elverson, PA.
