Men’s Golf 11th At Macdonald Cup

New Haven, Conn. -  Brown's men's golf team placed 11th at the Macdonald Cup, held at the par 70, 6825 yard Yale Golf Course.  Coach Mike Hughes' team shot 299-295-301—895 in the 54-hole event, while Yale (852) captured the team title.

 

Yale led from start-to-finish on rounds of 285-279-288—852. Stirling University was second (853), followed by Harvard (874), Yale B *(881), Princeton (884)central Connecticut (884), Penn (885), St. Edward's (886), Dartmouth (888), Bucknell (891), Brown (895), Fordham (897), St. John's (906) and Fairfield (923).

 

Junior Sasha Lobel placed 25th individually and led the Brown team on rounds of 72-73-76—221.  Freshman Drew Powell had the best showing of his young career, shooting 222 on rounds of 76-73-73.

 

Junior Bryan Hong came in at 72-75-77-224, while senior captain Kevin Li carded 79-74-75—228. Senior captain Ben Warner shot first and second rounds scores of 86-81.
