Bears Place 10th At Quechee Club Collegiate Challenge

Quechee, VT – Brown's men's golf earned a 10th place finish at the 36-hole Quechee Club Challenge, played at the par-72, 6,671-yard, Lakeland Course at the Quechee Club. The Bears shot 304-311-615.


Rhode Island captured the team title with rounds of 279-299-578 to edge Harvard (580) by two shots. Cornell placed third at 588, followed by Penn (591), Columbia (597), Temple (598), Dartmouth (599), Hartford (601), Colgate (604), Brown (615), Siena (617), Fordham (619), Central Connecticut (633), Dartmouth B (635) and Holy Cross (645).


Bears' freshman Kenneth Lee paced the Bears and finished 24th individually with rounds of 72-78—150. Junior Kevin Li was 32nd individually after shooting 73-78—151.


Senior Connor Lynch turned in scores of 81-77—158, while sophomore Bryan Hong shot 82-78—160.  Senior Chad Carlson added scores of 78-86—164.


Coach Mike Hughes' squad will be back in action on Sunday, October 9, facing Bryant at the Wannamoisett Country Club.
