Providence, Rhode Island - Brown senior wide receiver Paul Raymond (Miami, FL) has accepted an invitation to play in the 62nd Annual Hula Bowl, to be held at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii on January 12, 2008, beginning at 6:00 p.m. EST.
Raymond impressed NFL scouts when he was clocked at 4.38 in the 40. He has long been recognized as the fastest man in the Ivy League by virtue of winning two Heptagonal Championships in the 60-meter dash.
A second team All-Ivy selection in 2007, Raymond etched his name into the Brown record book by finishing sixth in career receiving yards (1,800 yards) and sixth in career receptions with 116. In 2007, Raymond ranked second in the Ivy League and ninth in the nation with 97.8 receiving yards per game. His 978 receiving yards rank eighth in the Brown record book.
He enjoyed the best day of his career against URI, making six receptions for 221 yards, the fourth best receiving day (receiving yards) in the Brown record book. Raymond also returned five kickoffs 102 yards vs. URI, giving him 323 all-purpose yards, fifth-best in Ivy League history and the highest total since 1991.
