Buddy Farnham Earns Second Gold Helmet As New England Player of the Week

Providence, RI - Junior All-American wide receiver Buddy Farnham (Andover, MA), a first team All-Ivy and All-New England selection, was named the Boston Globe Gold Helmet Award winner as the New England Player of the Week for the second time this season for his performance in Brown's 31-10 win over Princeton.

Farnham turned in a Herculean performance against the Tigers with 228 all-purpose yards, including 79 receiving yards with a touchdown, 27 rushing yards with a three-yard touchdown run, 55 kickoff return yards, and 67 punt return yards. In one sequence, he returned a punt 39 yards to the Princeton 20 yard line, and caught a 20-yard touchdown pass on Brown's first play from scrimmage.

Frnham leads the Ivy League and ranks fourth in the nation in receptions with 7.4 per game. He is also the Ivy League leader in all-purpose yards with 160.6 yards per game.

The Bears will be back in action again on Saturday, October 25, hosting Cornell at Brown Stadium. Game time is 12:30 p.m.
