Prividence, RI - Brown freshman wide receiver Paul Raymond (Miami, FL) proved to be an immediate impact player in his first significant playing time this season against Princeton, and was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week.
A graduate of Miami Senior High School, the 5-10, 180 Raymond made 7 receptions for 106 yards in Brown's 24-10 loss at Princeton on Saturday. In the second half alone, Raymond made 6 catches for 102 yards.
Inserted into the lineup for his speed and ability to stretch the opponents' defense, Raymond had a long reception of 34 yards against the Tigers. He also made four other receptions of 12 or more yards.
Raymond and his Brown teammates will return home after a month long hiatus for a Homecoming match-up against Cornell on Saturday, October 23rd. Game time is 1:00 p.m. at Brown Stadium.
