Providence, RI - The Brown University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Citadel Communications have reached a three-year agreement to broadcast Brown football and basketball, as well as 26 Brown coach's shows on WSKO-AM 790 The Score. In addition, each Citadel station - Lite 105, WPRO-FM, Hot 106, WPRO-AM, and WSKO-790-AM The Score - will be on site at Brown Stadium throughout the season in the football tailgate area, broadcasting live and giving away prizes. "We're thrilled to continue our relationship with The Score for the next three years," said Mike Kohler, Brown's Director of Marketing. "With The Score's emphasis on local sports, along with expanding Brown's promotional presence on all Citadel stations, this new agreement will help us grow our fan base and deliver great value to our corporate partners. I know this is something our coaches, alumni and fans will be excited about as we continue to place great emphasis on creating a fantastic family atmosphere at Brown football games." Brown's 10-game football broadcast schedule will now include a 30-minute pre-game show. The Brown football broadcast team remains intact, with Scott Cordischi, the popular host of the SportsBeat show on WSKO-790 The Score, calling the play-by-play, and former Brown runningback Mike Wall `99 providing the color commentary. The weekly Phil Estes Coaches Show, hosted by Cordischi and Brown football coach Phil Estes, will continue to be broadcast on Thursday evenings during the season, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on The Score. All 27 Brown men's basketball games, will be broadcast live on The Score, beginning November 15, 2004 when the Bears facing Missouri in the Guardians Classic. Brown men's basketball coach Glen Miller and women's basketball coach Jean Burr will have 10 coach's shows throughout the winter months. In addition, there will be six ice hockey coach's shows, featuring Brown men's hockey coach Roger Grillo and women's hockey coach Digit Murphy. Cordischi will host all 16 winter coach's shows.
