Wide Receivers Paul Raymond and Buddy Farnham Named All-Americans

Providence, RI - Brown wide receivers Paul Raymond '08 (Miami, FL) and Buddy Farnham '10 (Andover, MA) have been named to the Sports Network 2007 All-American Team, each earning honorable mention All-American honors.

Raymond, who will play in the Hula Bowl on Saturday, January 12, 2008, is a second team All-Ivy selection in 2007. He etched his name into the Brown record book by finishing sixth in career receiving yards (1,800 yards) and sixth in career receptions with 116. In 2007, Raymond ranked second in the Ivy League and ninth in the nation with 97.8 receiving yards per game. His 978 receiving yards rank eighth in the Brown record book.

Raymond registered the best day of his career against URI, making six receptions for 221 yards, the fourth best receiving day (receiving yards) in the Brown record book. Raymond also returned five kickoffs 102 yards vs. URI, giving him 323 all-purpose yards, fifth-best in Ivy League history and the highest total since 1991.

A first team All-Ivy and All-New England selection, the sure-handed Farnham set an Ivy League sophomore record, and led the Ivy League in receptions with 78, sixth best in the nation, and sixth best in the Brown record book.

The go-to receiver for the Bears, Farnham made a season high 12 receptions for 159 yards in Brown's win over Dartmouth, and made 11 catches against both Cornell and Princeton. His 885 yards receiving yards ranked third in the Ivy League, 11th best in Brown football history. Buddy also returned kickoffs and punts for the Bears, finishing third in the Ivy League in punt returns, and seventh in the league in kickoff returns.
