      <description>The Fifth Annual Brown Athletics Senior Celebration and Awards Luncheon was held at Andrews Dining Hall on Monday, May 20, 2013. Over 275 student-athletes, coaches, staff and distinguished guests were in attendance at the banquet to celebrate another year of success in competition, in the classroom and in the community. President Christina Paxson and Director of Athletics Jack Hayes each took the opportunity to address the room and acknowledge the accomplishments and contributions of the class of 2013.</description>

      <title>14 Brown Football Players Named To 2013 NFF Hampshire Honor Society, Second Most In Nation</title>

      <description>The National Football Foundation &amp; College Hall of Fame (NFF) announced that 14 members of the Brown&#x2019;s 2012 football team have been named to the 2013 NFF Hampshire Honor Society, which is comprised of college football players from all divisions of play who each maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or better throughout their college career. The 14 Brown players named are the second most in the nation among all NCAA football-playing schools. A total of 703 players from 259 schools qualified for membership in the society's seventh year, marking the highest school participation in the history of the program, which began in 2007.</description>

Sophomore Chad Berry&#x2019;s 20-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown with 2:00 remaining proved to be the game-winning score.</description>

      <description>For the last three years, the &#x201c;Be The Match&#x201d; Bone Marrow Testing Drive has become a major part of the Brown Football program, with nearly 800 students, faculty, staff and community members signing up as potential donors. Last year, one of its players, defensive back Matt Shannon &#x2019;14, gave the ultimate gift of life when he became a bone marrow donor and saved another man&#x2019;s life. Brown Football is joining collegiate football teams throughout the country in an effort to recruit 5,000 new bone marrow volunteers to the &#x201c;Be The Match&#x201d; registry.  The Bears will sponsor their Fourth Annual Bone Marrow Donor Testing Drive on Tuesday, Apr. 9, 2013, at Sayles Hall, located on the main campus, from 10 am to 5 pm. The drive is open to the public and sponsored by Brown Football and the Brown Warren Alpert Medical School.</description>
