Providence, R.I. - Brown head football coach Phil Estes will have an opportunity to display his baseball skills when he throws out the ceremonial first pitch at Fenway Park prior to the Boston Red Sox game against the New York Yankees on Sunday afternoon, July 16. It's a day/night doubleheader against the Yankees and Estes is scheduled for the first pitch before the 1:00 pm game.
Estes, now in his 20th season as head coach of the Bears, is warming up for the Fenway Gridiron Series and Brown's football game against Dartmouth on Friday evening, November 10, the first of three college football games at Fenway Park this fall.
UMass head coach Mark Whipple and UConn head coach Randy Edsall are also host schools for the Fenway Gridiron Series, and will join Estes in the first pitch ceremonies on July 16.
