Donnelly drove the Bears 80-yards in five plays, completing the drive with a 43-yard touchdown pass to Evans, who hauled in the pass at the Big Red 20 yard line, broke a tackle and sprinted the rest of the way into the end zone to give the Bears a 35-14 lead with 10:48 remaining.
Cornell and Matthews answered with back-to-back touchdown passes to cut the Brown lead to 35-28 with 10:20 remaining in the game.
Brown stopped the Big Red tidal ways with a big play drive, a 44 yard Donnelly to Evans pass play, and a 15 run by Reisner.
