Providence, R.I. - Bears' senior kicker Alexander Norocea (Hermosa Beach, CA) was named the Ivy League's Special Teams Player of the Week for his role in Brown's 41-14 win over Bryant on Saturday. Norocea kicked two field goals and five extra points in the decisive win over the Bulldogs.
Norocea connected on field goals of 23 and 38 yards, while converting five-of-five extra points against Bryant. He is a perfect 5-5 in field goal attempts this season and 17-of-17 in extra point attempts, and leads the Ivy League in kick-scoring with 8.0 points per game.
Norocea is one of the top kickers in Ivy League and Brown football history. He has booted 36-of-50 career field goals. His 206 career points rank seventh all-time in scoring at Brown, third all-time among Brown kickers and seventh all-time in Ivy League history.
Brown will host Princeton on Saturday, October 19 under the lights at Brown Stadium, starting at 6:00 p.m. The game will be televised nationally on Fox College Sports.
