CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- College Football Performance Awards, the largest awards organization in D-I college football, recently announced that Brown wide receiver Tellef Lundevall (Highland Park, IL) has earned spots on the 2013 CFPA Wide Receiver Award Watch List and 2013 CFPA All-Purpose Performer of the Year Watch List.
"Congratulations to Tellef Lundevall on earning spots on the 2013 CFPA Watch List," said CFPA Executive Director Brad Smith. "Lundevall's continued leadership as a senior wide receiver and all-purpose performer will likely factor heavily in Brown's success in 2013."
A second team All-Ivy selection in 2012, Lundevall is coming off a terrific season for the Bears, making 72 catches for 718 yards. His 72 receptions rank 10th best in Brown football history, while he also moved into fifth place in Brown career receptions with 155 catches. Lundevall's 7.2 catches per game ranked 14th nationally. He turned in a record-setting performance against Penn with 17 catches for 170 yards and a touchdown. His 17 receptions against the Quakers rank sixth best in Brown football history.
All CFPA recipients are selected exclusively based upon objective scientific rankings of the extent to which individual players increase the overall effectiveness of their teams. All players are eligible for awards at their respective positions; players are not preemptively eliminated from consideration.
More than 130 CFPA recipients have signed professional contracts, and twenty-one have been first-round NFL Draft selections.
