Providence, RI - Brown senior quarterback Joe Springer (Mendota Heights, MN) was named the Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season for leading the Bears to a 35-28 come-from-behind victory over Dartmouth.
Springer completed 22 of 42 passes for 281 yards against the Big Green, including touchdown passes of 11, 3 and 30 yards. He also connected on a two-point conversion pass to sophomore Tellef Lundevall that tied the game, 28-28, in the fourth quarter.
On October 23, Springer was named the Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week for his play against Cornell, completing 20 of 33 passes for 287 yards and two touchdowns.
For the season, Springer has completed 123 of 216 passes (57-percent) for 1428 yards and eight touchdowns in 2010. He has helped direct the Ivy League's number one passing offense that averages 249.6 yards per game.
Springer and the Bears will be home for their final game of the season on Saturday, November 20. Game time is 12:30 p.m. at Brown Stadium.
