Cambridge, MA - The Brown men's crew went 2-2 against defending national champion Harvard on the Charles River on Saturday. The Bears swept both freshmen races but was shutout in the varsity eight. Harvard won the first varsity eight race by nearly ten seconds while its second varsity eight defeated the Bears by 6.4 seconds.
Brown's first freshmen eight edged out the Crimson 5:54.7-5:55.8 while its second freshmen crew easily won with a time of 6:13.3 to Harvard's 6:19.0.
The Bears will host Northeastern on the Seekonk River next Saturday beginning at 2:00 p.m.
