Hanover, NH - The Brown men's varsity crew defeated Dartmouth 5:09.1 - 5:25.7 on the swift-flowing Connecticut River on Saturday morning to claim the Atalanta Cup.
In the second varsity eight race, Brown's second crew came in first place with a time of 5:11.4, as the third varsity trailed behind at 5:22.9. Dartmouth's second varsity crossed the line in 5:38.4 to take third place. Brown's novice eight also recorded a victory, beating the Big Green 5:13.6-5:30.4.
The Brown varsity and freshman crews head into next Saturday's race at Princeton with 3-1 records, while the second varsity features a 4-0 record. Up next, the Bears will travel to New Jersey to race against Princeton at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 5.
