Brown has entered one crew to compete in the Ladies' Challenge Plate, which will begin racing on Thursday against Team Keane Sculling School, with the daily timetable updated each evening of the regatta. Unlike multi-lane international regattas, Henley still operates a knock-out draw with only two boats racing in each heat.

The men's crew returns to Henley for the first time since 2014, when the Bears reached the finals of the Temple Challenge Cup and the semifinals of the Ladies' Challenge Plate during the five-day event. Brown made its first trip to Henley in 1966 and has captured the Ladies' Challenge Plate in 1984, 1993, 2000 and 2009. Bruno also claimed the Thames Challenge Cup in 1994.
