Men’s Crew Storms Past Dartmouth to Retain Atalanta Cup
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown men's crew swept all four races, headlined by the varsity eight event in the battle for the Atalanta Cup, as the Bears cruised past Ivy rival Dartmouth Saturday morning on the Seekonk River.
Due to the tide, the teams opened with the varsity race, in the event to determine the winner of the Atalanta Cup. Facing a moderate tailwind, the Bears cruised to a convincing seven-second victory, crossing the finish line in a time of 5:23.2. The Big Green completed the 2,000-meter course in a time of 5:30.2.
