Cooke Adds Cholnoky to Men’s Crew Staff
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown head men’s crew coach Paul Cooke has announced the addition of assistant coach JB Cholnoky to his coaching staff. Cholnoky has worked as a volunteer coach for the Brown lower varsity boats and walk-on freshmen since August.

Men’s Crew Opens Fall Season at Head of the Genesee
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – In the inaugural race of the season for the Brown men’s crew, the varsity boats opened their fall campaign at the Head of the Genesee on Saturday in Rochester N.Y. Brown entered three boats in the open eight and two boats in the open four. The Brown crews went on to defend their eighth consecutive titles in both events.

Six Brown Rowers to Compete at 2013 World Championships
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Four past members of the Brown University crew teams have qualified for a spot on the United States squad that will compete at the 2013 World Rowing Championships from Aug. 25 to Sept. 1 in Chungju, South Korea. In addition, former Brown men’s rowers Nikola Stojic and Steve Van Knotsenburg will compete at the championships, representing Serbia and Canada, respectively.

Brown Crew Earns ECAC Rowing Trophy
CENTERVILLE, Mass. – Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Commissioner Dr. Kevin T. McGinniss recently announced that Brown University has earned the 2013 ECAC Rowing Trophy. Brown shared the honor with Trinity College and captured the award for the fourth time in school history.
