Peter Sullivan Named Ivy League Rookie of the Week

Providence, Rhode Island - Brown freshman Peter Sullivan (Wilmette, IL) was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week after he scored 16 of his game high 19 points in the second half to lead Brown (2-2) to a 73-67 victory over Northwestern in Evanston, Brown's second ever win over a Big 10 team.

With the score tied 64-64, Sullivan, who played at nearby Loyola Academy before coming to Brown, made both ends of a one-and-one with 3:31 remaining to give the Bears the lead for good, 66-64. After Northwestern pulled to within one point of the Bears, 68-67, Sullivan helped put the game away by converting another one-and-one with 22 seconds remaining to lift the Bears to a 70-67 advantage.

Sullivan's career high 19 points came on 5 of 7 shooting from the field, including 3 of 5 from behind the three-point arc, and 6 of 6 free throws. He also grabbed two rebounds and handed out three assists against the Wildcats.
