After five straight games on the road that included three plane trips (Michigan State, Navy and Northwestern), coach Craig Robinson's Brown men's basketball team returns home to the Pizzitola Sports Center for its home opener against Army on Saturday, November 25th at 2:00 p.m.
The Bears dropped a 64-40 decision to Northwestern Tuesday evening in Evanston, IL, to fall to 1-4 on the season. Mark McAndrew scored 10 points for the Bears, while freshman Matt Mullery netted 9 points and added 8 rebounds, both career highs.
Brown and Army have met 19 times, dating back to the 1920-1921 season, with the Cadets holding a 12-7 series advantage over the Bears. Brown won last year's game (12-31-05) in West Point, 59-57, on Scott Friske's 24 points and game-winning basket with six-tenths of a second remaining. Army's last win over Brown came in the 2001-2002 season when the Black Knights came away with a 93-92 overtime win at the Pizzitola Sports Center.
