Brown Tops Connecticut Stars Basketball Club, 124-81

Providence, RI -- Guard Mike Martin scored 21 points and sophomore Earl Hunt added 19 points to led the Brown men's basketball team to a 124-81 exhibition win over the Connecticut Stars Basketball Club.

Brown held a 53-46 lead at the half, but stepped-up the tempo in the second halfwith 71 points, outscoring the Stars, 71-35. Martin scored 11 of his game high 21 points in the second half, while Hunt, the Ivy League's leading scorer last season, netted 16 second half points..

Maartin and Hunt led seven Brown players in double figure scoring. Junior Jesse Wood tossed in 17 points, knocking down 3 of 4 thee point baskets. Sophomore Alai Nuualiitia added 16 points and 7 rebounds, junior Josh Meyer scored 11 points, while juniors Shaun Etheridge and Omari Ware netted 10 points each.

The Connecticut Stars were led by former Washington State standout Shamon Atrium, who netted 18 points. Phil Lott, a former star at Hawaii scoreed 14 points, while Maurice Williamson added 11 points.
