Providence, RI - Brown University sophomore forward Keenan Jeppesen (Stoney Creek, Ontario) was named the Ivy League Player of the Week for his outstanding play in Brown's 15-point victory over second place Princeton, and an overtime loss to first place Penn last weekend.
Jeppesen led all scorers with 16 points while making five steals in Brown's 61-46 victory over Princeton, its largest margin of victory over the Tigers since 1959. He came back with a 21-point performance against Ivy Champion Penn, leading all scorers once again, with five rebounds, four assists and three steals against the Quakers.
Jeppesen helped a young Brown team to a fifth place finish in the Ivy standings (6-8 Ivy), with the Bears starting a junior, three sophomores and a freshman. Individually, His 16.1 points per game in Ivy League games ranks second in the league. He also ranked second in the Ivy League in steals (2.43 per game), seventh in rebounding (6.1 rpg), eighth in field goal percentage (.470), and 10th in blocked shots (0.64).
