Brown University freshman guard Jason Forte (Rockville, MD) was named the Ivy League's Rookie of the Week for the fourth time this season after scoring a career high 25 points against Harvard, and registering 10 points and nine assists against Dartmouth.
Forte tossed in 25 points, grabbed four rebounds, handed out three assists and made four steals against the Crimson before a national television audience on DIRECTV. He earned his first career start against Dartmouth, dishing out a career high 9 assists, including the game winning assist when he penetrated the lane and kicked-it back to senior Shaun Etheridge, who hit the game winning 3-point basket with 1.2 seconds remaining.
Fotre is averaging 11.3 points per game for the Bears and ranks second in the Ivy League in assists with 4.89 per game.
The Bears (13-6, 4-2 Ivy) will be home at the Pizzitola Sports Center this weekend to face Ivy League leading Princeton on Friday night, and Penn on Saturday. Both games start at 7:00 p.m.
