Providence, RI - Brown freshman guard Peter Sullivan (Wilmette, Ill.) has been named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week for the second time this season after his performance in Brown's close loss to Baylor.
Sullivan, who has emerged as a starter in the Bears' lineup, starting Brown's last three games, scored 11 points and grabbed six rebounds on the road against Baylor. Sullivan did most of his damage from behind the three-point arc, connecting on three-of-five three-pointers. He also converted two-of-two free throws against Baylor.
Sullivan is averaging 6.4 points per game for the Bears, who are 8-6 overall, heading in to the start of Ivy League play on Saturday, January 19 at Yale (7:00 p.m.). He is shooting a sizzling 46 percent (15-33) from behind the three-point arc, and has connected on 26 of 56 field goals (.464), and 22 of 27 free throws (.815).
Sullivan scored a season high 19 points in Brown's win over Northwestern, and netted 14 points in the Bears' victory over American.
