BOSTON (AP) - Earl Hunt and Alaivaa Nuualiitia each had 26 points to lead Brown to a 90-88 come-from-behind win over Northeastern on Tuesday night.
Omari Ware blocked Antonio Johnson's shot from outside the key just as the clock expired to preserve the win for Brown (2-1). Aaron Davis led Northeastern (0-3) with 18 points, and Jean Bain added 17.
Brown took an early 11-6 lead, with Hunt sinking five points in the first four minutes.
But Northeastern came back with a 17-5 surge, going ahead 23-16 with 11:54 to go before halftime. Bain hit two 3-pointers in the run, then another with 4:43 to go in the half, to extend Northeastern's lead to 39-29.
Brown outscored Northeastern 14-10 in the remainder of the half, closing the gap to six, as Northeastern had a 49-43 lead at halftime.
Northeastern stretched the lead to 56-46 after Q Randall sank a layup with 18:41 left in the second half.
But Nuualiitia's two lay-ups and a dunk, and Josh Meyer's three 3-pointers in a 15-5 run, pulled Brown even at 61 with 13:56 left.
Northeastern was ahead 75-70 with 9:02 to play when Brown went on an 11-2 run to take a 81-77 lead with 6:39 to play.
