Forte's 29 Points Leads Brown Over Yale, 75-65

Providence, RI - Senior Jason Forte capped his stellar playing career by scoring 29 points to lead Brown to a 75-65 Ivy League victory over Yale in the final game of the season for both teams.
The victory, Brown sixth straight over the Elis, gives the Bears a 12-16 final record, including a 5-9 Ivy mark, while Yale falls to 11-16 overall and 7-7 in the Ivy League.
With Yale holding a 43-42 lead, sophomore center PJ Flaherty scored on a layup with 16"16 remaining to give Brown the lead for good, 44-43. Flaherty's basket sparked a 12-4 Brown spurt that lifted the Bears to a 54-47 advantage on a three-point basket by freshman Damon Huffman with 13:18 left in the game.
Forte, the 2004 Ivy League Player of the Year, completed his four-year Brown career with 1,597 points, third best in Brown basketball history. In a dominating performance, Forte grabbed 8 rebounds, handed out six assists, and connected on 16 of 18 free throws, the sixth most free throws made in Brown basketball history.
With Forte departing, Huffman gave Brown fans a glimpse of the future by scoring a career high 18 points, knocking down 4 of 9 treys.
Senior Edwin Draughan completed his Yale career by scoring a team high 22 points. Senior Alex Gamboa added 11 points for the Elis.
