Men's Basketball Falls To Penn, 82-63

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Ugonna Onyekwe scored 24 points as Penn stayed alive in the Ivy League race with an 82-63 victory over Brown on Friday night.
Jeff Schiffner had 12 points for Penn (20-6, 7-3 Ivy), which won its fifth straight game.
Earl Hunt, the Ivy League's scoring leader, had 19 points for the Bears (15-9, 6-5), but Penn contained Brown's league-leading offense, which averages 78.4 points a game.
Brown took a 21-14 lead on a 3-point shot by Patrick Powers with 9:03 left in the first half, but the Quakers went on a 16-2 run with six different players scoring, and never trailed again.
Penn led 38-26 at halftime, hitting on 14 of 25 shots, while Brown was 12-for-26 but committed 10 turnovers.
After a 3-point shot by Hunt brought the Bears to 55-42 with 8:53 left to play, a 14-5 run gave the Quakers a 69-47 advantage. The lead grew to 76-51 on a 3-point play by Onyekwe with 3:45 remaining.
Penn now leads 86-16 in the all-time series, which began in 1901.
