Bears Toppled By Tigers, 69-52

Providence, RI - Despite a 26-point performance by Ivy League Player of the Year Jason Forte, the Brown men's basketball team dropped its fourth straight game, falling to the Princeton Tigers, 69-52, at the Pizzitola Sports Center.
The Tigers (12-11, 3-6 Ivy) shot a torrid 65 percent from the field, converting 26 of 40 field goals.
The Bears (9-13, 2-6 Ivy) stayed close to the Tigers throughout the first half, falling behind by a 33-28 margin at halftime. The Tigers opened the second half with a 10-0 run to take control of the game, 43-28, on a three-point basket by senior Will Venable with 16:27 remaining to play. Princeton led by as many as 26 points in the second half, 66-40, with 6:14 remaining.
Forte's 26 points came on 7 of 14 shooting from the field, 4 of 5 from three point range, and 8 of 8 shooting from the free throw line. Freshman Keenan Jeppesen, junior Luke Ruscoe and freshman Damon Huffman scored five points each.
Venable led the Tigers with 18 points on 6 of 10 shooting from the field. Mike Stevens netted 15 points, converting 6 of 9 field goals, while Luke Owings added 10 points on 4 of 5 shooting from the field.
