Men's Basketball Edged By Yale, 80-77

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Edwin Draughan made two free throws with seven seconds left Saturday night to help Yale hold off Brown 80-77.
With the score tied 59-59 with 8:12 left, Yale (11-7, 3-1 Ivy) went on a 15-4 run over the next five minutes to take a 74-63 lead.
Brown (12-5, 3-1) responded with a Mike Martin 3-pointer and a layup after a steal to cut the lead to 74-68. After the teams traded free throws, Earl Hunt connected on a 3-pointer to bring the Bears within four with 1:33 to play.
Paul Vitelli made two foul shots to give Yale a 78-72 lead with under a minute to go, but Hunt hit another 3-pointer, followed by an off-balance jump shot, cutting Yale's lead to 78-77 with 13 seconds remaining.
Jason Forte fouled Draughan on the inbounds pass, and Draughan connected on both foul shots.
Hunt had a game-high 33 points for Brown. Alex Gamboa led Yale with 14 points, followed by Chris Leanza with 11. Vitelli added 15 rebounds. Brown led 41-39 at halftime.
