
KANSAS CITY, MO. (March 12, 2014) - The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced today the NABC Division I All-‐District teams for 2013-‐14, recognizing the nation's best men's collegiate basketball student-‐athletes. Brown senior guard Sean McGonagill (Brookfield, IL), Brown's third all-time leading scorer with 1,608 career points, was named a second team All-District 13 selection.
Selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC, these student-‐athletes represent the finest basketball players across America. The 252 student-‐athletes, from 25 districts, are eligible for the NABC Coaches' Division I All-‐America teams.
McGonagill's brilliant career includes several Brown career and season records. He set Brown career records for treys (247) and games started (113), and established a Brown single season record for treys (91). He ranked second in the Ivy League in scoring with 17.7 points per game and led the Ivy League in assist/turnover ratio (2.4). He ranked second in the Ivy League in three-point baskets (2.9 per game) and fourth in the league in assists (4.1 per game).
McGonagill's career will continue in the CollegeInsider.com Tournament next week, with Brown hosting a first round game at the Pizzitola Sports Center on either Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.
