Matt Sullivan Named To Capital One Academic All-District Men's Basketball Team

Providence, R.I. - Brown senior captain Matt Sullivan (Wilmette, IL) has been named to the Capital One Academic All-District Men's Basketball Team as selected by CoSIDA for the second straight season. Sullivan will now advance to the national ballot for Academic All-American consideration.

Sullivan, who has a 4.0 GPA as an Economics concentrator at Brown, was a Capital One CoSIDA Academic All-American a year ago, earning third team honors.

The Ivy League's third leading scorer with 14.8 points per game, Sullivan has connected on 145 career treys, seventh best in Brown basketball history. He is the Ivy League's Iron Man, logging a league-leading 38.4 minutes per game. His 5.1 rebounds per game rank 10th in the Ivy League.

Sullivan scored 20 points and logged 45 minutes in Brown's overtime win over Niagara, and played a key role in Brown's win over Providence with 12 points and a career high seven rebounds. Sullivan scored a game high 18 points vs. Notre Dame, and tossed in 20 points against St. Francis.

Sullivan has started 80 of 105 career games played for the Bears. He netted a career high 26 points against Albany last year, hitting 5-of-9 treys against the Great Danes.

Sullivan and his Brown teammates take on Dartmouth tonight in Hanover, New Hampshire.
