Tucker Halpern Named Ivy League Rookie of the Week

Halpern (Brookline, Mass.) was named the Ivy League Rookie of the
Week for his play in games against Wagner and Army last week
In his first collegiate start, Halpern scored a career high 22
points, pulled down seven rebounds, handed out six assists and made
three steals in an overtime win over Wagner. His basket with 40
seconds remaining in regulation gave the Bears a two-point lead. He
then scored four points in overtime against the Seahawks.
The six assists and three steals vs. Wagner were also career highs
for Halpern. He then came back against Army by scoring 13 points,
grabbing seven rebounds and dishing out three assists.
Halpern is Brown’s third leading scorer, averaging 8.0 points
per game, while pulling down 3.6 rebounds per game.
The Bears will be back in action tonight (1/11) at Quinnipiac, and
will open their Ivy League season on Friday, January 15 at Yale in
New Haven.
