Providence, RI - Brown Head Baseball Coach Marek Drabinski has announced the 2006 baseball schedule. The Bears' season will get underway on March 3 when the team will play a three game series at Florida State. The following weekend, Brown will play another three-game series at Vanderbilt. A four-game showdown at VMI will begin on March 25 before the team gets in its final preparations for the Ivy season with games against Elon, Davidson and Greensboro
The Ivy season will get underway on April 1 at Penn. The next day, the Bears will play Columbia in another doubleheader. Brown's home-opener will be against in-state rival URI on April 5. The team will host a pair of Ivy doubleheaders that weekend before taking a short break from league action with a one-game match-up against Sacred Heart.
Red Rolfe Division play gets underway on April 15 in Providence against Dartmouth. The Bears three-week home stand will come to an end on April 22 when the team will travel up to 2005 Red Rolfe Division Champion Harvard. The Ivy season wraps up with the annual home-away series with Yale beginning on April 28.
