J.J. Eno Named a Second Team CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American

Providence, RI - Brown junior J.J. Eno (Kahului, HI) was named a CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Second Team Academic All-American on Tuesday. A neuroscience concentrator, Eno will graduate into Brown's Warren Alpert Medical School as a member of the University's Program in Liberal Medical Education.

A former walk-on, Eno hit .300 in 80 at-bats this season, scoring 16 runs and driving in 10. In 34 Ivy League at-bats, Eno hit .324, seeing time in 14 games and starting 10 as the Bears' designated hitter. He was named a First Team District I Academic All-American on May 10, advancing to the national round of voting.

Eno becomes Brown's first Academic All-American since 1987, when Scott Simpson and John Plansky were named First and Second Team Academic All-Americans, respectively.
