Brown sophomore rightfielder Paul Christian (Chapel Hill, NC) earned Co-Ivy League Player of the Week honors for his stand out play last week. In four games, Christian went yard four times, including a grand slam as he posted a 1.200 slugging percentage.
He drove in ten runs, which is half of his total from all of last season. Christian batted .333 on 5-15 hitting on the week. All five of his hits were extra base-hits as he added a double to the mix.
In the Bears 23-8 win over Columbia on Saturday, Christian tallied 6 RBI with a double, a two-run homer and a grand slam. In two games against 29th ranked Virginia earlier in the week, the sophomore recorded homeruns in each.
Christian tallied 12 putouts with no errors in the four games as well. He is batting .300 on the season on 15-50 hitting. He is second in RBI on the team with 13. He is third with 12 runs scored.
